Elegant twisted butter cookies with a golden sesame seed topping. One of the shaped cookies Charlene makes in her strategic baking order.

Cook Time: 15 minutes
Cream butter with sugar for four minutes. Beat in eggs and vanilla; mix well. Add flour and baking powder and mix until all are combined.
Pinch off 1-inch balls; roll lightly by hand to 6-inch lengths. Fold ropes in half then twist. Place 1/2 inch apart on greased cookies sheet.
Topping: Beat together egg and milk; brush cookies with mixture. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven 15 minutes or until golden brown. Makes about 80 cookies.
