Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 45-55 minutes
Heat oven to 300 degrees. In a large bowl mix butter, brown sugar, vanilla and salt. Beat for four minutes. Add flour and mix well. Press dough into ungreased 15" x 10" jelly roll pan. Bake 45 to 55 minutes, until a deep golden brown.
Remove from oven and arrange chocolate bars on top of hot dough. As soon as hot chocolate has melted spread it over the cookie dough. A rubber spatula is excellent for this purpose. Then sprinkle with nuts and press lightly.
Let cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into desired sized pieces.
Depending on the size you cut the cookies, you can get 4 – 6 dozen cookies.
